Damage Prevention Safety Video Collection
811 CALL BEFORE YOU DIG
Pipeline Safety Video Resource Library
Printable working edition | Updated August 2026
This directory emphasizes free instructional, operational, regulatory, and public-awareness material. A resource may include product or organizational promotion when the educational content is substantial. Pure advertisements, unsupported demonstrations, and material whose principal purpose is sales should be excluded.
Important: One-call laws, advance-notice periods, ticket life, tolerance zones, marking rules, and enforcement vary by state. State-specific guidance controls; national videos are not a substitute for the law and procedures in the state where excavation will occur.

6. Suggested submission and inclusion policy
Manufacturers, one-call centers, regulators, pipeline operators, trade associations, trainers, contractors, and experienced users are invited to submit links to free instructional or public-awareness videos covering both current and legacy practices.
Submission does not guarantee inclusion. The directory may add, classify, revise, or remove entries at its discretion. Videos containing some product or organizational introduction are not automatically rejected; they may be included when the operational, safety, or regulatory instruction is substantial enough to be useful. Pure product announcements, advertisements, unboxings, sales-driven comparisons, and unsupported “accuracy tests” are excluded.
For a useful submission, provide:
· video title and direct URL;
· publisher or owning organization;
· state or service territory, if jurisdiction-specific;
· intended audience;
· language and accessibility information;
· equipment, procedure, regulation, or safety topic covered;
· publication or revision date, when known.
7. Quality-control notes for the future QR-code edition
· Prefer a stable official library, playlist, or channel URL when it will remain useful longer than one video.
· Use a direct-video QR code only for especially strong operational instruction.
· Label every state-specific QR code with the jurisdiction and source organization.
· Add a “link checked” date to each QR-code caption.
· Recheck all links immediately before publishing or printing.
· Consider separate QR sections for national resources, each state, pipeline safety, emergency response, homeowners, excavators, and youth education.
Editorial status
This is a verified starter master list, not yet a claim of complete 50-state coverage. Where an official video directory or channel was not readily confirmed, the state’s official one-call or regulator entry point is used rather than substituting an unofficial video. The next revision should fill remaining state and territory gaps and then validate every selected link before QR-code generation.
