Equipment Manuals for Investigating Beyond the Surface
A collection of publicly available operating manuals, user handbooks, and manufacturer support libraries for equipment used to prevent subsurface utility damage and gather information about other human-made objects placed beneath or within soil, pavement, concrete, walls, floors, ceilings and other surfaces.
The collection includes utility locators, concrete and wall scanners, stud finders, ground-penetrating radar, magnetic locators, acoustic equipment, sondes, inspection cameras and related technologies used before excavation, drilling, cutting, coring or repair. Geological exploration, archaeology, mineral investigation and unrelated environmental surveying are outside its scope. Each model is placed in its primary category to avoid needless repetition.
